Flow Sudoku — Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Flow Sudoku (“we”, “our”, or “us”).

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Flow Sudoku desktop application (“the App”).

By downloading, installing, or using Flow Sudoku, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Use of the App

Flow Sudoku is a macOS desktop application designed to support focus through Sudoku, journaling, and timed work sessions.

Users agree to:

  • Use the App only for lawful purposes
  • Not disrupt, modify, or reverse-engineer the App
  • Not attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts
  • Follow local regulations when using the App

2. Accounts & Authentication

Users may create an account with:

  • Email + password
  • Google Sign-In

Users are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate registration information
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials
  • All activity performed under their account

Flow Sudoku may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Payments & Subscriptions (via Paddle)

  • Paid features may be offered through one-time purchase or subscription.
  • Payments are processed by Paddle, a secure, PCI-compliant provider.
  • Flow Sudoku does not store credit card numbers or payment methods.
  • If subscriptions are offered, they renew automatically unless canceled.
  • Users can cancel anytime through the App Store or their platform settings.
  • All purchases are final unless required by local consumer protection laws.
  • Refunds, if applicable, must be handled through the App Store, Paddle, or the platform used for purchase.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

All content within Flow Sudoku—including:

  • App design
  • Graphics and visual assets
  • Code and logic
  • Branding, logos, and names
  • Marketing materials

—is owned by Flow Sudoku or its licensors.

Users may not:

  • Copy, distribute, or reproduce the App
  • Sell or sublicense any part of the App
  • Modify or reverse-engineer the software
  • Create derivative works

5. User-Generated Content

  • Users may input notes, goals, Sudoku progress, and other personal content.
  • Users retain ownership of this content.
  • This information is stored locally on the device only.
  • It is not uploaded to servers unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • Deleting the App will remove locally stored data.

6. Privacy

Use of the App is governed by Flow Sudoku’s Privacy Policy, which explains:

  • What personal information is collected
  • How account data is processed
  • How Google Auth and Paddle handle information

7. Third-Party Services

Flow Sudoku uses:

  • Supabase for authentication and account-related data
  • Google OAuth for optional login
  • Paddle for payments

Each service has its own terms and policies.

Flow Sudoku is not responsible for outages, issues, or errors caused by third-party providers.

8. Children’s Use

  • Flow Sudoku is suitable for a wide audience.
  • Users under 13 must have parental or guardian consent to create an account.
  • Flow Sudoku may remove accounts created without proper consent.

9. Termination of Use

Flow Sudoku may suspend or terminate access to the App if users:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Misuse the App
  • Attempt unauthorized access
  • Create security or legal risks
  • Use the App fraudulently

Termination may result in loss of access to account-based features.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Flow Sudoku is provided “as is” and without warranties.

Flow Sudoku does not guarantee that:

  • The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • The App will meet specific productivity goals
  • Local data will not be lost
  • All features will remain available

Users assume all risks associated with using the App.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Flow Sudoku is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Flow Sudoku’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user for the App.
  • If the user accesses the free version, their sole remedy is to discontinue use.

Some regions do not allow certain limitations; in such cases, the minimum statutory protections apply.

12. Changes to These Terms

Flow Sudoku may update these Terms at any time.

Updated Terms will be posted at:

Continued use of the App after changes means acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law (Universal & Flexible)

Because Flow Sudoku may be used internationally:

These Terms will be governed by the laws of the user’s country or region of residence to the extent required by local consumer protection laws. For all other matters, general principles of international digital commerce and fair use apply.

This allows global distribution without tying the App to a specific jurisdiction.
